| Description: | As a User Experience Designer, your work will involve complex business concepts which require rich interaction design problem-solving skills. Your ability as a critical thinker with a good design sense, a strong technical background, and an eye for making things better will be the driving force behind gathering insights to inspire and inform design. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management and marketing to create innovative, usable, great-looking products that people love to use. Your work will have an impact on the web experience of millions of ChaCha users. |
| Duties: | • Help to define the user model and user interface for new and existing ChaCha products and features.
• Develop high level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Gauge the usability of new and existing products, and make constructive suggestions for change.
• Ensure effective communication of research findings, including synthesizing them into workable design principles.
• Drive product improvements based on research findings.
• Participate in product reviews and strategic research planning

| Qualifications: | • Solid academic background in human-computer interaction or related field (BS or MS in Computer Science or related field a big plus).
• Demonstrated experience in designing usable web-based interfaces.
• Expert HTML skills.
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript for rapid prototyping purposes.
• Successful track record in one or more of the following areas: social media, enterprise and B2B applications, user generated content, online communities.
• Excellent analytical ability, especially with regard to observation of user behavior.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; can present findings concisely and effectively.
• Experience with the following is a plus: web technology and standards, mobile devices, accessibility and universal design, internationalization and localization.
• Strong, clean visual design sense.
• Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills
• Should have web portfolio for review |
